Who or what inspired you to pursue entrepreneurship?
After planning my own wedding renewal ceremony, I found that I really loved event planning. I decided to work under an event planning veteran who was kind enough to mentor me and show me the ropes. For him, I am forever grateful. Shortly after, I launched my event planning company, The LM Experience. Eight years later, we have now pivoted into virtual event planning and we have hit the ground running ever since.
Tell the Visions of Greatness audience more about your products/services.
The LM Experience creates memorable, engaging and profitable virtual events that increase your visibility, maintain your relevance and improve your bottom line.
What adjustments have you made in your life and business since the pandemic?
The LM Experience has had to pivot into the world of virtual events to cater to the needs of our social distancing, post-COVID society. We have had to educate ourselves on the best virtual platforms and strategy so that we could put our clients in a position of success and advantage. Also, we are hosting our first virtual Mental Health Summit which will be held on October 27-29, 2020. This is a free event, full of great resources and expertise from mental health professionals and influencers who advocate for mental health. We realize that this pandemic has put a collective mental strain on us all, and we feel it is our mission to serve the community in this particular area of concern.
What advice would you give to women struggling to balance their life and business?
Self-care is a must. It is easy to burn the candles on both ends, juggling life and business. However, if you keep self-care appointments with yourself as vigilantly as you would for your clients, you will be able to flow with your life minus the burnout and stress. This is why I invite everyone to register for our Mental Health Summit. We have a whole day devoted to self-care.
Share with us one ingredient in your secret sauce for success.
