Introduce yourself to the Visions of Greatness audience.
First off, I would like to start by saying how grateful I truly am for this opportunity. Hello, all. My name is Catia Jackson, referred to as Coach Jackson. I'm originally from Mccomb, MS; currently I reside in Houston, TX. I'm the mother of an amazing yet bossy daughter, Ayannah, and the wife to Terennce Jackson.
I'm the CEO/Owner of Visionary Coaching Solutions LLC established in 2020.
Who or what inspired you to pursue entrepreneurship?
My inspiration for entrepreneurship came from my eagerness to assist others. Moreover, to demonstrate to my daughter that she can do anything she puts her mind into. So, for months my husband saw all the behind the scene work, the research, the trial and error that took place. He also noticed once I mastered the Art of Credit.
One day after having lunch traveling thru Houston, I was wrapping up a call guiding a friend with her credit, my husband looks at me as says, "Wife", that's what he calls me, "Its time you start a business."
Honestly, I talked myself out of it at first. I felt as if I should stay behind the scene and only assist when asked. Well, June 2020 came, I woke up with what I call conviction. I began to reflect to the Bible story were the servant hid his gift on the ground. On that day, I looked in the mirror and spoke to myself, "Catia that will not be you. Somebody, somewhere, needs exactly what you have. It would have been selfish to keep it all to myself." As I took a leap of faith and began this journey God has opened doors everywhere I've laid my feet.

What adjustments have you made in your life and business since the pandemic?
The Covid-19 pandemic actually woke a sleeping giant. Not saying that to be cocky, but saying I got up. I began to walk, one foot in front of the other. The pandemic actually gave me time to reflect on what is most important. How can I accomplish my mission and keep my head above the waters, if my job decides to let me go. So I got busy, not just normal busy, over the top busy. As I began to network, I began to reach milestones to pushed me forward to my goals.
What advice would you give to women struggling to balance their life and business?
If you are struggling in business my best advice would be to outsource, network, build relationships, partner with business owners who are more far along than where you currently are but where you see yourself. There is always room for improvement. Also speaking from experience, you may need to book a mental health session, it's nothing to be ashamed of. When you are building your brand and starting from scratch, it's an emotional roller coaster. You will experience depression, anxiety, fear of failure. I don't mean to scare you but I do want to make you aware. When you start something new it will be challenging, utilize every resource available to you. You may need a coaching session, it's ok to not know everything and collaborate with someone to assist you. Investing in yourself will be one of the best investments you ever make building your business.
