Black Business Month: Meet Myra Armstead

Updated: Aug 26, 2020

Introduce yourself and brand to the Visions of Greatness audience.

My name is Myra W. Armstead. I am the Author of Divine Purpose, Inspirational speaker, Founder of the Trunk Ministry, Co-Founder of Sisters Let’s Talk and a License and Bonded notary (M A Notary Services).

Why did you pursue entrepreneurship?

My purpose in life is to make a difference, to be a person of impact and change. I am the most effective one on one with individuals being that people's needs and situations are different.

Tell us about the products and services you offer.

I am an inspirational speaker, my books are available for $12.95 via my website. I offer notary services and outreach services.

In your consultations with entrepreneurs, what is their greatest struggle and how can your services provide support?

I would encourage all business owners, professionals to remain consistent, relevant, and connected. Many business owners worry about their flow of consistent business. Small business owners appear to have limited assistance in sustaining their business. I have collaborated with numerous other businesses by advertising their product and service through my platform. I will continue to offer my services in any way possible.

According to numerous reports, Black women are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs. What advice would you give to black women interested in pursuing entrepreneurship?

Believe in your vision, believe in your purpose, trust God, and no one else. Plan and execute, excuses are not an option. Remember to always be willing to give back and mentor other females.

Share with our audience the most valuable lesson you have learned as an entrepreneur?

I view every encounter as a learning experience. Being able to interact with different people allows me to learn more about people, life experiences, and building relationships. Every individual equips me one at a time as a building block to better serve.

How do you maintain your mental wellness as an entrepreneur?

The word of God, Prayer, Meditation, and affirmations.

What’s your vision for 2020 and beyond?

Is to continue manifesting within my Divine Purpose. I look forward to operating more in the legal field. However, I will remain sensitive to God’s will and His plans for my life; for his plans are not my plans.
