Introduce yourself to the Visions of Greatness audience. I’m Krystal Vernee’ and I’m a serial womanpreneur, speaker, author, business coach and brand strategist. I teach coaches and consultants how to monetize their expertise and create multiple income streams so that they can build a profitable and sustainable business. I am the Founder of Simply SHE, a business coaching and brand strategy firm. I also own Divas & Dolls Fitness, a pole and sensual dance studio, Cirque Sensual, a sensual aerial dance brand, and Krystal Vernee’, my personal brand.
Who or what inspired you to pursue entrepreneurship? My father was my inspiration to pursue entrepreneurship. When I was growing up, he had several businesses including a limousine and trucking company. He lived in California and drove around a lot of A-list celebrities in the 80’s and 90’s to include Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, New Kids on the Block, Immature, En Vogue, New Edition, etc. He always encouraged me to get an education so that I could open my own business and not so that I could get a job. I believe entrepreneurship is in my DNA and I couldn’t imagine my life any other way.
Tell the Visions of Greatness audience more about your products/services. In my coaching program, The Brand BuildHER BlueprintTM, I teach coaches and consultants how to attract and enroll their ideal clients consistently in their programs, sell more offers and generate revenue consistently in their business to include how to do business with the Federal Government. For established coaches and consultants, I offer consulting services focused on process improvement, automation, team-building, scaling, and executive coaching. I also offer a myriad of live VIP days, workshops and trainings as well as online courses focused around messaging your offers, lead generation, selling online, content creation and more.
What are the 3 most valuable lessons you have learned as an entrepreneur? The three most valuable lessons I’ve learned as an entrepreneur are: (1) surround yourself with like-minded people, (2) there are no failures, only lessons, (3) don’t quit, success is just around the corner.
Why is mental health important for entrepreneurs? Mental health is important for entrepreneurs because there is a false-sense or need to hustle until your body breaks down. Furthermore, many of us are solopreneurs and doing it alone, especially in the beginning stages. Everyone needs time for themselves, to do things they enjoy, to rest and recharge. We also need support in different ways, not just monetarily. As entrepreneurs, we love our businesses, they are in-fact in so many ways, like children. However, you can’t nurture and nourish something like a business if you’re constantly running on empty. It’s important to take care of yourself so that you are able to take care of your business.
How do you overcome adversity in your life and business? I lean on my past experiences for comfort and motivation that I can overcome any obstacle that presents itself. I’ve been through a lot of challenging times in my life and business. While it is difficult to see the light at the end of tunnel when you’re going through something, I always try to remember that I’ve seen success before so therefore, it stands to reason that I will see it again. Additionally, I treat adversity as life’s lesson. I try to find the lesson or “take-away” in those situations because usually I know it means I’m being prepared for what is to come.
Share with us one ingredient in your secret sauce for success. It’s difficult to choose what to share but I think one thing that has contributed to my success over the years is always seeking my next best level. When you envision and then move as the highest version of yourself, success will surely follow.
What's your vision for 2023 and beyond? My vision for 2023 and beyond is two words: Global Impact. I envision myself making a greater impact in people’s lives, serving more clients worldwide (seeing them become 6 and 7-figure earners), speaking on more and larger stages, giving back to the community, traveling more, creating the model to follow for women entrepreneurs globally, etc.
